QS Rankings features top 1,500 institutions across the globe.
        The ranking of other Universities is as follows: IIT Delhi ( 197) , Indian Institute of science 225, IIT Kharagpur (271) , IIT Kanpur ( 278 ) , IIT Madras 285, IIT Guwahati (364 ), IIT Roorkee (369 ), University of Delhi (407) , Anna University (427) . IIT Indore (454 ) , University of Madras ( 526 ) Banaras Hindu University ( 571 ), Jawaharlal Nehru University has achieved a rank in 601-610 range. IIT Hyderabad is ranked in the 691-700 range. Savitribai Phule University is ranked in the 711-720 range. IIT Bhubaneswar is in the 731-740 range.
          Jadavpur University has replaced OP Jindal University as the top Private university of India .
          Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata , University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Chitkara University have made their way to the QS world university rankings 2023 this year with ranks above 1400.
          India is the seventh most represented country in the top 1500 list globally. India is the third globally with 45 universities and is third in Asia behind China ( 72 Universities ) and Japan ( 52 universities ) .
